8th Grade Graduation

8th Grade graduation in on the last day of school and is a time to celebrate the accomplishments of hard-working students. Now is the time for each 8th grader to set academic goals to ensure success and celebration for the last week of middle school.

It is important to understand that a final grade of F in three or more subjects prohibits participation in the 8th grade graduation ceremony and possibly the promotion to 9th grade. Last year because of budget cuts, summer school was not available for 8th grade students who had failed. It is very important that students keep academics as a high priority.

Parents should be advised that if at the end of 2nd quarter, your child is failing two or more subjects, you should contact a guidance counselor to schedule a meeting.
