The first link will provide you with all of the project information that has been distributed in class for the Egypt project. THE BRITISH MUSEUM SITE Excellent resource for any of the five project choices. Medium to Hard reading level. Also includes some fun challenges and games (when you are finished with your work, of course!) CANADIAN MUSEUM SITE: CIVILIZATIONS Contains information on a variety of topics including: Geography, architecture, writing, religion, daily live, sciences and a timeline. Medium to Hard reading level. EGYPTIAN MINISTRY OF TOURISM SITE This site needs to be read CAREFULLY in order to know where to look for the information you want. UNIVERSITY OF PENNSYLVANIA Uses a question and answer format to review information about ancient Egypt. Easy to Medium reading level. PYRAMID BUILDING The information on this site is written for a college audience (Hard level) However, the information is very detailed with excellent diagrams. NOVA-PYRAMID Excellent site to learn about the famous pyramids at Giza, Egypt. Also has information about scale (size) of the real pyramids vs. a model of them. HATSHEPSUT Great site to learn almost everything you ever wanted to know about this unique Female Pharaoh. Medium to Hard reading level. EYGPT WEBQUEST The purpose of this site is for students to learn on their own about all aspects of ancient Egypt, while pretending to be on a Mission. Each mission begins with a question, instructions and background information for the mission. Following this is a resource area with a bibliography and links to sites where you can research information and complete your mission. This requires a lot of time. I strongly recommend that you preview it in school, but that if you find something of interest, you take the time to look at it at home or from the public library so that you can spend an unlimited amount of time on it. (Easy to Medium reading level) NEFERCHICHI'S EGYPT PAGE Along with some good factual information (Learn about Egypt, section) this site has free clip art and a great deal of gift shop areas (not free!). So, please be careful not to click on anything to purchase, and if you do, just hit the Back button on the top of your screen to get out of it. Easy to Medium reading level. A WALK THROUGH TIME This site gives the history of the calendar and methods of telling time from its ancient beginnings to modern times. The Egyptians play a part in this history. Links for fun. Must be used at HOME, not in school! CLEVELAND MUSEUM OF ART Most of this site has games and activities related to Egypt. However, the "Fact or Fiction" link has a clear, brief overview of many key topics about Egypt. Easy reading level. ODYSSEY IN EGYPT Want to follow a real-life archaeological dig in Egypt? Here's the site for you! This site is strictly for the curious and patient student. This will not help you with your project research, but it will give you some insight into the real world of archaeology as it is today. BUSCH GARDENS EGYPT FUN GUIDE This one is just for fun.
